Our School Day
Our school day is as follows:
| 8.45am | The classroom doors open for children to arrive |
|---|---|
| 8.55am | The school day begins and the register is taken |
| 10.30 - 10.45am | Morning Playtime |
| 11.45 - 12.45PM | Lunchtime (EYFS) |
| 12.10 - 1.10pm | Lunchtime (Year 1 & 2) |
| 3.15pm | The school day ends |
| 3.30pm | Gates are locked |
Our School week is 32.5 hours a week.
We encourage children to be punctual because:
- it teaches children that it is important to be on time
- it gives the children opportunity to start their day calmly with a chosen activity
- it avoids the emotional stress that children feel when they are late into class
- it does not disrupt school
Children who are on time have better opportunity to engage happily in learning.
Children who are on time experience and build stronger friendship circles.
